My name is Laura Ewing. I will graduate
from the Arkansas
School for Mathematics and Sciences
in
2001. Originally, I am from Maynard, Arkansas, a small town in the northeastern
part of the state. I chose this topic because no one actually knew where
Maynard is and thus they did not know anything about. Maynard also did not
have a web page so I am providing one for them free of charge and without anyone
but my parents knowing about it.
While researching the
town, I found that the population is slowly decreasing. This was
alarming. About half of the businesses in Maynard have moved, having only
to stay there at the most a year. The rest have been there from anywhere
around two or three years to about ten. A few of those may have been there
longer.
During the course of the creation of this web page, I have found that you should never use Microsoft Works to create a web page. I takes up more memory than Microsoft FrontPage and it adds list and directories without your permission.
