Maynard is a town where the population is slowly decreasing, hence the title of this page. At the turn of the century, the population of Maynard was around 500. It has been decreasing, and, as of the last census, has gone down to around 350 people. It seems that small towns are steadily decreasing in size. Eventually, there may not be a rural community left in the United States.
