" The James Gang"

    The James Gang is a part of the history of the entire South, including Arkansas. The gang was more than likely the best-known outlaws of their time, and they were the first outlaws to emerge after the Civil War.  Most of the members in the gang were killed or hunted for riding with the gang.  As they rode across the south, the James Gang stopped for a brief time to take advantage of the popularity of Hot Springs.
