This is a sketch of Lewisburg in 1852 by Susan Gordan from the Petit Jean County Herald.
Lewisburg was a small town the Arkansas River. When the town decided
not to pay for the railroad to go through it started to decline. Now it
has been absorbed into the town the railroad did through, Morrilton, Arkansas.
This project tells the history of the town, especially in the early part of the twentieth century.
