The Mena Photo Gallery

The old train depot is located in heart of bustling downtown Mena. Before the passenger train was forgotten and cars where a way of life, this was the main point of transportation in West-Central Arkansas.

The sign hanging from the enterance to the Depot. Reading "Mena Depot Center Elev. 1149.9" feet. Though not the original, it has hung there for over fifty years.

The Mena Airport seen from a plane. This is an older picture, for at this time a new runway is being constructed that will be large enough to allow jumbojets and medium-size passenger liners to land. (Thanks to Mena-Ark)

The wonderful and scenic Talimena Scenic Drive, which begins on the top of Rich Mountain. This drive is most famous for the spectacular fall-color leave display in late October and early November. (Thanks to Mena-Ark)

The Cossatot River falls. The Cossatot begins just outside the town of Mena, and is know for its scenic beauty and the small mouth bass fishing.

The splendid view from Rich Mountain stretches for miles in every direction. Being one of the highest peaks in Arkansas, the mountain offers a wonderful chance to see the scenic beauty of the Ouchitas. Far in the distant, you can see the vague outline of Queen Wilhelmina Lake, known for the catfish farm that operates near the dam.
