Mine
Sunshine Mine was located in Spadra. At the height of its production capabilities, it maintained three tipples (these were structures built on top of the mine in order to move coal). This picture is courtesy of The Spectator.
This picture shows a rare view inside the Sunshine. To the right is a cardox plant. It creates an explosion that blasts the coal. The bullets on the left are detonated with a battery. This process made good lump coal. This picture is from the Lillian Mickel Collection.
