Hello. My name is Raymond Tatum and I am a Junior at the Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences. I am doing my Arkansas Memory Project on the Turkey Trot Festival of Yellville, AR. I am originally from Yellville, Arkansas, and have been a resident there for almost 9 years. I plan on discussing this festival as a way of bringing Yellville into the limelight.

I plan on discussing the history of Turkey Trot, and it's significance to Arkansas History. I mean, c'mon, Turkey Trot is a blast! Everyone loves it!

Here we go... The following is a series of links that will give you necessary information on the topic.

This project is a work in process. In the future, expect many more pictures of the festival as well as a more detailed account of the history of the Turkey Trot festival itself. I would like to express thanks to the Mountain Echo Newspaper of Yellville, Arkansas, serving Yellville, Marion County, and surrounding areas for many years. Thanks to the Yellville Area Chamber of Commerce for their vital information! I would also like to express thanks to Mrs. Sharon Meyer, English III/Honors, Journalism, and Oral Communications teacher at Yellville-Summit High School, and my "surrogate mommy", for her help in my obtaining of primary documents. Thank you all so much for your help and generosities.
