This page contains a compilation of sources, some primary some not, that give information about the history of Newton County, it will present the viewer with a series of historical situations, all of which are relevant to Newton County.

My proposal: Upon completing this project I hope to have given a broad overview of some interesting historical situations in Newton County, and to have provided information about the town of Deer Arkansas. To complete these tasks, I plan to conduct interviews with some of the comunity members, and to get primary source documents that have interesting historical facts and compiling them in a well organized manner to be used as historical information for anyone who wants to examine them. I will also give a brief overview of the history of Deer School.
